The rumors are true! Shinola + Filson are coming to Minneapolis in the North Loop neighborhood and we got to attend their launch party at The Bachelor Farmer. A true celebration of American makers, these two icons are coming together  to bring another facet of USA made to the Twin Cities.

Stay tuned for a larger feature this weekend featuring photos by Mill City Men contributing photographer, Brin Hanson. In the meantime, here are some instasnaps via @youngbrokefabulous, @alishops, @meganmccarty.

The battle has been won! Askov Finlayson hosted their second annual Bubble Hockey Tournament with the ever-elusive title of Bubble Hockey Champs 2014 for the taking. The winners? None other than 2013 champs, the Lynnhurst All-Stars clinching a win and solidifying for them a place in Askov Finlayson history. Check out a few shots we snapped below (including some newer items on our WANT/NEED list) and see more coverage over as the Askov Finalyson blog.

ABOUT TOWN | RED DRESS COLLECTION

This past Sunday, one of our favorite events in the Twin Cities had its 3rd annual showing. The Red Dress Collection show at the Graves 601 Hotel is a highlight each year and this was no exception! If you don't know the scoop on Red Dress, the cliff notes version is that each year, designers in the community design red dresses to be walked down the runway on some of the most notable women in the Twin Cities. The best part is that all proceeds from the event go to fund women's heart health, which terrifyingly, is the #1 killer of women. Find out more about how to protect the women your life from this disease and build awareness here.

Great cause, great clothes, great crowd. Can't go wrong, right? Right. Here are some runway images of these local icons strutting their stuff:
